Zac Purton gave former Horse of the Year Military Attack his one and only trial ahead of his return in the Group Two Oriental Watch Sha Tin Trophy on October 26 at Sha Tin (on Monday).
In the horse’s first trial for new trainer Caspar Fownes, Military Attack was allowed to settle behind midfield before Purton clicked the six-year-old up and he zipped home to win the 1,200m trial in 1.10.7s .
Purton also partnered Paul O’Sullivan-trained sprinter Aerovelocity in a 1,050m dirt spin , the winner of five of 11 leading all the way in good time (1.00.3s). It was the six-year-old’s third trial ahead of a return in the Group Two Premier Bowl on October 26.
