Singapore Racing: Moor Back Riding On First 2018 Week

The Singapore Turf Club has granted jockey Daniel Moor a visiting jockey’s licence to ride at the Kranji race meetings on 1 and 7 January, 2018.

Licensed by Racing Victoria, Moor, 33, recorded his first win in Singapore at his second visit on 3 December 2017, scoring aboard Skywalk.

A former leading Victorian apprentice jockey, the Warrnambool-born Moor went on to become one of the leading jockeys in country Victoria. Regularly supported by Kranji trainer Lee Freedman’s younger brother Anthony, he does ride in the metropolitan area on the odd occasion.

Moor boasts more than 700 winners to his credit, including the Group 2 Queen Of The South Stakes, Group 2 W H Stocks Stakes, Group 3 D C McKay Stakes and Group 3 Tasmanian Derby and nine other ‘black type’ races.

The well-travelled jockey has ridden in Malaysia, Mauritius, China and Korea. Moor, who goes to scale at 50kgs, has ridden 24 winners this season while he rode 63 winners in the 2016/2017 season.
