20 Winners For Foxwedge

With new winners in both hemispheres in the past 24 hours, Newgate Farm’s Foxwedge has brought his overall tally of first crop winners to 20.

An impressive runaway win at Lismore on Monday for Jadedfox as a short priced favourite was followed overnight by a three quarter length victory at Carlisle in the UK by Foxy Boy.

The Foxwedge’s are out and running at three as was their sire, whose first stakes win came in the Group III ATC San Domenico Stakes as a spring three year-old.

One of his best recent runners was the filly Kentucky Miss, who was a fast closing and unlucky third to top colts Star Turn and Tango Rain in this year’s Group III ATC San Domenico Stakes.

A stakes race against her own sex is sure to be in her sights this season.

A Group I winning son of Fastnet Rock, Foxwedge looked in outstanding shape at the Newgate Farm stallion parade on Saturday and stands this spring at a fee of $22,000.
