Group Three Winner For Magic Albert

Scoring his second stakes victory in the Group III Tony Ruffell Stakes at Turffontein in South Africa on Saturday was talented Magic Albert three year-old colt Suyoof, a $150,000 Inglis Easter Session II purchase from the Yarraman Park draft.

Trained by Mike de Kock, the Shadwell owned Suyoof won the 1450 metre contest by half a length and has the imposing record of three wins and a second from just four starts. Bred by Yarraman in partnership, Suyoof is the fourth winner from stakes-placed Danehill Dancer (IRE) mare Magic Harmony and is a half-brother to spring Group III winner Charmed Harmony. On-sold at the Inglis Broodmare Sale in 2013 where she fetched $120,000 to the bid of Belmont Bloodstock, Magic Harmony comes from the family of Golden Slipper winner Overreach and Blue Diamond winner Reward for Effort.

Suyoof is one of 21stakes-winners for Yarraman Park’s stalwart sire Magic Albert, who has 14 entries for Inglis Classic.
