More than 800 juveniles remain in contention for next year’s $1.5 million Blue Diamond Stakes at Caulfield after first acceptances.
The Lindsay Park stable has 101 of the record 812 first acceptors with trainer Tony McEvoy still with 65 two-year-olds among the entries for the Group One race.
The next highest nominators are the Peter And Paul Snowden stable (54), Ciaron Maher and David Eustace (51) and Mick Price (51).
Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott have 27 horses entered for next year’s Blue Diamond Stakes.
The 2019 Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes series commences with the Blue Diamond Previews (1000m) on January 26. That’s followed by the Blue Diamond Preludes (1100m) on February 9 and culminates in the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes over 1200 metres on Saturday, 23 February 2019.
