Winners For 2018 The Run To The Rose Day

The Run To The Rose meeting will be held at Rosehill Gardens this Saturday. The course proper was rated a Soft 5 on Thursday and with overcast weather in Sydney leading up to the weekend, Rosehill is likely to border on Good/Soft condition on raceday.

The Autumn Sun is all class and he looks hard to beat in the Stan Fox Stakes (Sydney Race 4, 1500m). The Redoute’s Choice colt remains unbeaten winning all three starts last preparation, culminating to his victory in the Group 1 J.J. Atkins (1600m). The Autumn Sun should have the fitness required to handle 1500m 1st up and the 3YO can handle any track conditions. The set weight scale should really give him an edge. The Autumn Sun looks set to continue his winning streak on Saturday.

D’Argento has the form and the fitness to be the horse to beat in the Theo Marks Stakes. (Sydney Race 5, 1300m). Before he’s gone for a spell, the Waller-trained 4YO won the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas before an eye catching 4th in the Doncaster Handicap. D’Argento ran a mighty 3rd to Winx when 1st up three weeks ago and there’s no better form than the Winx form. D’Argento does have the race fitness on race favourite Trapeze Artist and he also receives 5kg weight pull from the top weight. Hugh Bowman will be back aboard the stallion and D’Argento will give punters a great sight at the finish.

The Kris Lees-trained Graff has been unbeaten winning all 3 career starts and he can continue his winning form in The Run To The Rose (Sydney Race 6,1200m). Graff took out the San Domenico Stakes comprehensively a fortnight ago. Aided by a good rail hugging ride from Jason Collett and a good turn-of-foot, Graff simply annihilated the San Domenico field. And Collett will once again be on board the 3YO on Saturday. Graff can handle any track conditions and he is versatile in that he can settle anywhere in transit so the barrier 13 shouldn’t create any problem. Graff will show his customary acceleration and run over the top of this field.
