Winners For Saturday’s Sydney Meeting (24th Nov)

This Saturday’s Sydney meeting will be held at Rosehill. The course proper was rated a Good 4 on Thursday and with mainly fine weather in Sydney leading up to the weekend, Rosehill will be racing on a Good track on raceday.

Promising mare Sexy Eyes can continue her winning way in the Summer Hospitality@ATC Sprint (Sydney Race 3, 1200m). Though a 5YO, Sexy Eyes is only lightly raced and is still on the way up. The mare has 4 starts this preparation with two 2nds followed by two victories in her last two starts. Coming back in trip on Saturday shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Nicely drawn in barrier 2, Tye Angland will settle just behind the pace on the fence and Sexy Eyes will be full of running in the last furlong.

Sky Boy has been in terrific form winning his last three on the trot and he is the horse to beat in the 2019 Membership Handicap (Sydney Race 4, 1800m). Three starts back, Sky Boy began his winning streak in a 1550m handicap before stepping up to 2000m at Randwick beating a handy horse in Savacool. Last start at Rosehill a fortnight ago, again he won over 2000m in a BM78 handicap. Christian Reith will once again be on board on Saturday. Anthony Cummings has mentioned that Sky Boy is better with cover and a chaser hence from barrier 2, Reith will be box-sitting and Sky Boy is all set to make it four wins in a row.

Godolphin-owned Deity is working her way towards another victory in the TAB.com.au Handicap (Sydney Race 6, 1200m). Two starts back, the 1300m was proving a little too far for the mare so back to 1200m last start suited her much better with her eventually beaten a nose by Niccobelle. Deity will meet that horse 2kg better and she can certainly turn the table on Saturday. James McDonald will take over the rein and from barrier 7, he’ll try to settle mid-field one off the fence. Expect Deity to finish the race off strongly and be in the finish.
