Winners For Sydney’s Saturday Meeting At Kensington (4th May).

This Saturday’s Sydney meeting will be held at the Randwick-Kensington track. The course proper was rated a Good 4 on Thursday and with showers forecast for Sydney leading up to the weekend, Kensington is likely to border on Good/Soft condition on raceday.

Godolphin-owned Revenire is primed to score 1st up in the Events By ATC Handicap (Sydney Race 2, 1000m). The 4YO has come back as a gelding and he has great 1st up record having never finished worse than 2nd when resuming. Revenire can handle any track conditions and he has only ever missed a place once over 1000m with two wins and three 2ndsĀ  from 6 starts at the trip. With lots of pace in the race, Rachel King will bide her time in mid-field along the fence and he will be finishing over the top of this field.

Matt Dunn has an imposing record in these Highway Handicaps and he seems to have unearthed another winner in We Concur (Sydney Race 3, 1400m). The 3YO has been in terrific form winning 2 from 2 this campaign. Matter of fact, this gelding has never missed a place in his career winning 3 races and placed a further 3 times from 6 starts. Being 3rd up, We Concur is ready to step up to 1400m on Saturday. From barrier 2, Josh Parr will settle just behind the leading bunch and We Concur is ready to make it a hat-trick of wins in the Highway Handicap.

The Kensington Handicap looks a suitable race for She’s Furline (Sydney Race 6, 1300m). This Team Snowden-trained filly wasn’t beaten far in his last 2 starts in Group 3 races. Down in class on Saturday and she is quite well weighted with only 55kg. Drop slightly in trip to 1300m suits the 3YO well. Sam Clipperton should be able to comfortably slot in mid-field one off the fence and with reasonable pace in the race, it would allow She’s Furline to finish off strongly.
