Bosson Booked For Sydney Stint

Emily Bosson’s fame has spread with Australia’s Channel Seven tapping into the Trackside personality’s broadcasting skills.

She will be part of their coverage of the upcoming Sydney autumn carnival at Royal Randwick.

“I’ll be there on four weekends and they approached me because Francesca Cumani has got commitments with ITV in England,” Bosson said.

“When they first called I thought they must have had the wrong number. It’s super exciting and it’s very generous of Trackside to let me take this opportunity.”

A member of New Zealand’s racing channel for four years, Bosson will provide pre-race comments in a role similar to the one played in Melbourne by former Trackside identity Jayne Ivil.

“I’m not there for form analysis, more so talking about the condition of the horses in the birdcage,” she said.

Bosson’s husband Opie will also be in Sydney with the top jockey booked to ride the Stephen Autridge and Jamie Richards-trained Mongolianconqueror in the Gr.1 Rosehill Guineas (2000m) and the A$2 million Gr.1 Australian Derby (2400m).
