Ex Lloyd Williams horse Venezuela makes his debut for the Waugh stable on Saturday at Randwick on the Kensington track.
With just 5 career starts producing 2 wins and a 2nd, the lightly raced son of Galileo was purchased by the Waugh team in April this year following an impressive win at Kyneton.
On Saturday he competes in the BM 78 over 1400m first-up with Brenton Avdulla aboard who won a trial on Venezuela recently. Although he has drawn a tricky wide gate, if the speed is on early, look for him to be hitting the line hard late.
