Hickmott Eyes Caulfield With France’s Boy

Murray Bridge trainer John Hickmott has sent his in-form galloper France’s Boy to Melbourne for a crack at the last at Caulfield on Saturday.

The six-year-old gelding lines up in the Neds Toolbox Handicap over 1700 metres and Teo Nugent has been booked for the ride.

“He traveled across to Melbourne on Wednesday and went to the Caulfield stables of my son Robert,” Hickmott said.

“Robert was a little concerned with how much he has eaten but said he seems bright and his temperature is good.

“Looking beyond Saturday we have our eye on the Balaklava Cup with him on September 16.”
