Tamworth is renowned as the country music capital of Australia and the place will be rocking this month, no more so than during a fantastic raceday planned for Friday.
Tamworth Jockey Club’s Country Music Cup day is highlighted by performances from a long list of artists including Hurricane Fall, Amber Lawrence, Shelley Minson, Two Gals, Kyle Cartner, Aleyce Simmonds and Tamworth’s own Brett Clarke.
The day is also a Racing NSW Showcase meeting with all races carrying a minimum $30,000 in prizemoney.
“We’re encouraging everyone to come along and say hello to their favourite stars and watch them sash the winning horses on the day,” said TJC’s events and sponsorship co-ordinator Kay Jeffrey. Gates will open at noon with admission $10 for adults.
