Message: (Saturday, Rosehill Race 1, Iron Jack Hcp) The filly has continued to improve since her placing behind Untamed at Canterbury.
Horse: Fasano
Message: (Saturday, Rosehill Race 5, Jack Ashman Hcp) He broke his maiden status in the spring at Hawkesbury and was again competitive in black-type grade, finishing 5th to Just Thinkin’ in the Dulcify Quality. But it soon became apparent Fasano’s mind was not on racing so the horse was spelled and gelded. Fasano will be at his best over a mile and further, I want to see him compete hard at Rosehill to confirm he is worthy of loftier aims. Saturday will tell us, he’s got to step up.
Horse: Costello
Message: (Saturday, Rosehill Race 9, Rosehill Bowling Club Hcp) He’s come back well. I think it will be a bit short for him but drawn one, he could run into the money.

Message: (Saturday, Rosehill Race 7, Bill Waterhouse Hcp) Obviously we’re up in grade, she’s been through her grades and we’re starting to get to the higher benchmark races so she has to come back better but I think both trials have been good. We’d like to see her take another step as well, like a lot of mares at this time of year. She seems to handle most conditions and when it was soft tracks last preparation it didn’t worry her at all. Can’t fault River Bird’s preparation and with a bit of luck in running expects her to be competitive at least.

Horse: Katie Did It
Message: (Saturday, Rosehill Race 2, TAB Highway Hcp) I didn’t anticipate she’d get in on the limit when we booked JMac (James McDonald) but he can’t ride that light (The 53kg is a luxury considering she carried 59kg and 57kg before a claim, winning at home). But no negative. Jess (Taylor) relates to the mare, has won on her and rides regular work. The way she’s put them away at 1600m and 1400m I doubt on the limit anything can give her weight and be stronger at 1500m. The margins she’s put on them unextended, you’d even be thinking Country Championships. We’ll know a lot more Saturday, up in grade.
