Summary Of Our Trainers Tips For Today’s Racing (Sat, 28th Mar)

Horse: Positive Peace
Message: (Saturday, Rosehill Race 8, Emancipation Stakes) The mare has been almost unbeatable in lesser grade this campaign, winning her past four starts, the latest on a heavy track at Rosehill by almost three lengths. She’s going great. We haven’t had to do a lot with her. She is rock-hard fit. She’s had the five runs this time in and her last win was super. I think she’s better on top of the ground but you can’t knock her current form with the cut out. Her last win, she didn’t look like getting beaten. It’s a big jump up in grade, there’s no doubt about that, against some very, very good mares. That’s going to be another question mark but we can’t fault the way she is going.

Horse: Pride Of Adelaide
Message
: (Saturday, Rosehill Race 3, Tulloch Stakes) The winning margins Pride Of Adelaide has collected in his past 2 starts, seven lengths and three and a quarter lengths, in his two wins earned him respect as third favourite in the Tulloch. He always suggested he wanted blinkers or winkers, his concentration levels aren’t the greatest but since they’ve gone on he’s improved every time we’ve stepped him out and he’s relaxed more and more each time. I know he’s not there mentally yet. It doesn’t look the strongest Group 2 on paper, he’s back to his own age group and they are only three once. It’s the right step for him. The others are coming out of stronger form races but he has been very dominant in what he’s done. They’ll know he’s there, he’ll take some running down.

From Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott

Horse: Shout The Bar
Message: (Saturday, Rosehill Race 7, Vinery Stud Stakes) What she did over the short distances was just on class alone which was validated with her run in the Kembla Grange Classic when I thought she was very brave. She’s come through it nicely and stepping up to the 2000 metres we always thought would be to her benefit but she’s taking on some more seasoned opposition, particularly Funstar and Probabeel. They are two class fillies that have been proven at that level. We’re asking a bit of her in her first campaign, so she’s got all that against her, but particularly with the timing of everything it’s a great opportunity for her to be contesting that level against her own age and sex over a suitable distance.
