Winners For 2021 Golden Gift Day

The Golden Gift meeting will be held at Rosehill Gardens this Saturday (6th Nov). The course proper was rated a Good 4 on Thursday and with showers forecast for Sydney leading up to the weekend, Rosehill will be racing on a Soft track on raceday.

Fresh from a winning double last Saturday, Jenny Duggan is keen to continue her winning streak aboard Undeniable in the Petaluma Handicap (Sydney Race 4, 1100m). This Matthew Smith-trained mare is a model of consistency winning three times with a further three placings from her last seven starts. The 4YO loves the 1100m and she can handle any track conditions. With Duggan’s 2kg claim, Undeniable will only be carrying 57.5kg. With a fair bit of pace in the race, Duggan is going to sit behind the leaders from the nice gate (2). And with a good run in transit, Undeniable is going to run home strongly.

Pandora Blue is going to make it three wins on the trot by taking out the Midway Handicap (Sydney Race 6, 1300m). The Kristen Buchanan-trained 4YO mare won her last start over 1200m at Randwick, beating the in-form Undeniable in a BM72 Midway Handicap two weeks ago. Stepping up to 1300m 4th up should be perfect. Pandora Blue can handle any track conditions and Jason Collett is currently riding better than anyone in Sydney. Collett will go forward and sit outside likely leader Budhwar and Pandora Blue is set to win back-to-back Midway Handicaps.

Queen Of The Ball finished runner-up to Ojai at her debut in the Kirkham Plate last month and she can turn the table on that horse in the Golden Gift (Sydney Race 7, 1100m). She had to be used up a little bit from a wide gate (11) to go forward. Richard & Michael Freedman stable has reported that Queen Of The Ball has done well since and has put in a nice piece of work on Tuesday. And they are putting winkers on the 2YO to make sure she relaxes in the lead. Drawn better on Saturday, Alysha Collett will go straight to the front and Queen Of The Ball could prove hard to catch. Currently at $10.00 at fixed odds, Queen Of The Ball represents a value bet.
