With such depth in all nine races at Rosehill on Saturday, there are some horses that look extremely good value. Yes you can’t eat value but you can risk a smaller amount to try and win big! Here are some runners on Saturday at Rosehill that look exceptional value. They are all primed to run well and all appear to maybe be slightly over the odds.
Race 1. No.4. Va Pensiero $10. Was not without hope in the Newmarket before being scratched on the day. This is a much easier race and this boy likes to lead and that is of great benefit over the shorter trips at Rosehill. Great each way value.
Race 2. No.9. Desert Wizard $5. If it rains this horse will be very hard to beat and if it is rock hard, he will be scratched so you will get your money back. If he runs he surely will run a place at a minimum and $5 gives us the each way option.
Race 3. No.5. Awesome Rock $21. This boy ran really well in the Sires’ where he was the $3.90 favourite. This is harder but he is over five times the odds he was at this last start. He is very honest and will be thereabouts and $21 is great value.
Race 4. No.1. Earthquake $1.90. This filly is the best horse in the race by a long way and she should be $1.40. $1.90 is unbelievable value.
Race 5. No.8. Lunayir $14. This was the hardest race of the day to find value in. This Waller import gets the nod because he is working into his preparation nicely and he drops right down in the weights here as compared to his previous few starts. This is a tough race, but $14 looks ok value for such a talented horse that is improving all the time.
Race 6. No.1. Mouro $8. Yes he has a lot of weight, but he is a Doncaster fancy and the form around him has stood up really well. Ecuador is a star and will take some beating but Mouro is a star on the rise and a nice each way chance at above each way odds.
Race 7. Two here; two of the three grey mares in the race are value here. No.5. Arinosa likes Sydney and can bounce back off some so so Melbourne form. She will be flying home and is far too honest to leave out. No.6. Fire Up Fifi hated the Warwick Farm track last start and she still went ok. She will improve dramatically at Rosehill and gets two kilograms off Catkins for a 1.5 length defeat last time they were both in a Group One race together.
Race 8. No.6. Carlton House $11. This entire is at his best, one of the best middle distance horses in the world. He really is one of the best on earth and we can get double figures about him. He is worth an each way bet just in case he produces his best.
Race 9. No.4. Liberty’s Choice $12. On occasion it can be hard to decipher Gai’s own unique language and work out which ones the Lady Trainer really thinks can win. However she has always rated this colt very highly and she always makes sure he works with the best horses and trials with the best. He is huge odds despite a terrific first up run and he is the best value bet of the day.
