Anthony Cummings is considering a Scone Guineas start for Saturday’s Adelaide Guineas winner Alpha Beat.
Cummings said Alpha Beat, who stormed home to win the listed race at Morphettville, deserved his shot at the $400,000 Scone Guineas on May 17.
He said stablemate Madame Ginoux, who will run at Warwick Farm on Wednesday, is also a likely starter in the Guineas.
Paris Match, beaten the narrowest possible margin when second behind Asadauskaite in Saturday’s listed Gold Coast Bracelet (1800m), will progress to the Queensland Oaks.
Cummings is undecided whether Spy Decrder, who finished hard for fourth behind Chautauqua in the Hawkesbury Guineas, will push on to the Queensland Guineas or head to the paddock.
South Australian Derby placegetter Best Case will head to the spelling paddock while Surge Ahead, who was scratched from the SA Derby, will return to Cummings’s Randwick base.
“Depending on the weather he may head to the Queensland Derby,” Cummings said.
