Last year’s Memsie Stakes winner Sincero will miss this year’s race because of a foot abscess.
Trainer Steve Farley has on Tuesday confirmed Sincero would now wait for another week before resuming in the Tramway Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on September 7.
Farley said he was always going to be first-up with Sincero in either the Memsie or the Tramway and the foot abscess had made that decision for him.
Sincero hasn’t been seen on a racetrack since he finished ninth behind Ocean Park in last year’s Cox Plate at Moonee Valley.
