Glen Boss Flying High

Glen Boss isn’t going to let a Saturday morning trial in Ballarat stop him partnering Melbourne Cup favourite Puissance De Lune.

Boss is going to jump in a helicopter to Ballarat so he can work Puissance De Lune in a 1000 metre trial.

The champion jockey will catch a helicopter from either Moorabbin or the Docklands for the 20-minute trip.

“It’s no big deal. I’ll get in a helicopter up there in the morning, do the thing and come straight back,” Boss said.

“I’ll do him at 9am, I’ll be back in the helicopter by 9.30 and I’ll be back home and at the races by 11 o’clock.”

Puissane De Lune, super impressive winner of the Peter Lawrence Stakes (1400 m) at Caulfield on August 17, will run in Saturday week’s Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes at Flemington.

It’s expected that after the Makybe Diva, Puissance De Lune will run in the Underwood and Turnbull Stakes before the Cox Plate.
