Forgotten sprinting star Hay List easily won a trial at his home track of Gosford this morning.
Originally set down to resume in the Group 3 Missile Stakes (1200m), the giant gelding will instead commence his spring campaign in the Group 3 Concorde Stakes (1000m) at Royal Randwick on September 7 after the trial win.
The John McNair-trained sprinter comfortably accounted for his rivals in the 1000m trial.
Straight to the front with Glyn Schofield in the saddle, Hay List led throughout and was eased late in winning his trial narrowly over Sharnee Rose and stablemate Hoffenhorry.
