Saturday’s Royal Randwick race meeting will be highlighted by the enthralling battle between two outstanding competitors – Hugh Bowman and Nash Rawiller – as they continue their tussle for the 2012-13 Sydney Jockeys’ Premiership.
Bowman leads with 71.5 wins and is just half a win in advance of Rawiller (71 wins) who is chasing hard and had the advantage of riding at this afternoon’s Canterbury Park race meeting while Bowman was suspended.
Rawiller marginally cut into Bowman’s slender lead following a narrow win on Fine Bubbles in the fourth event but it could have been much better with Rawiller finishing runner-up on two occasions, and was beaten a nose in the fifth race.
Rawiller has fared marginally better this Saturday with a full book of eight rides to Bowman’s seven mounts. This is how the Bowman-Rawiller contest shapes up:-
