Race 4:-
Horse No.7 SCORPIO QUEEN (Gold Coast 11/1/14): Steadied off heels near the 600m.
Horse No.8 – MISS STELLABELLE (Launceston 19/2/14): Raced wide throughout.
Race 5:-
Horse No.3 HAWKSPUR (Caulfield 8/2/14): Rider said overall performance was disappointing after failing to respond to his riding in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Race 7:-
Horse No.9 LUCIA VALENTINA (NZ) (Ellerslie 1/1/14): Began awkwardly.
Horse No.13 METAPHORICAL (Caulfield 22/2/14): Slowly away and then was held up for clear running in the early part of the straight.
