Please note the following interstate stewards extract for the Canterbury Park race meeting on Wednesday, 21st August 2013.
RACE 5:-
Horse No.11 – CONVENT HILL (Doomben 27/7/2013): During the middle stages the horse raced ungenerously and had a tendency to hang out. The mare shifted in under pressure in the straight and approaching the finish line, made contact with another runner. When questioned regarding the improved performance, the trainer stated that the horse ran well at Scone on the 2nd of July when placed third and believed its last start at Scone also had merit as the pattern of racing at that meeting did not suit the mare in that it was difficult for horses to make ground from back in the field.
