Interstate Stewards Extracts – Canterbury Park (Wednesday)

Please note the following interstate stewards extracts for the Canterbury Park race meeting on Wednesday, 25th September 2013.

RACE 2:-
Horse No.6 – NATURALLY MAGIC (Geelong-synthetic 6/9/2013): Passing the 100m was inclined to lay out under pressure.

RACE 4:-
Horse No.7 – COURT ORDER (Geelong-synthetic 6/9/2013): When questioned regarding his riding of the gelding, the rider stated he had been instructed to ride back in the field as is the gelding’s racing pattern and when making his run to gain cover as the trainer did not believe that the gelding could make a sustained run around the field without cover as it did at its previous start due to the rise in class today. The rider added that after getting back to the rear of the field, he had intended to commence to improve passing the 600m and was wanting to follow the runner in front into the race, however, that runner did not commence its run as early as anticipated. Due to this he did not shift out to improve until approaching the home turn at which point he was held up for clear running and was hampered by another runner. In the early part of the straight had to shift out over heels to obtain clear running.

RACE 6:-
Horse No.3 – SAMAPINGA (Geelong-synthetic 6/9/2013): Passing the 1800m had to be restrained when tightened for room.
