Cox Plate favourite It’s A Dundeel won a four-horse jump-out in New Zealand on Thursday morning.
Trainer Murray Baker said the horse did just what he had to and no more.
Baker said It’s A Dundeel, winner of the Triple Crown for three-year-olds in Sydney in the autumn, would fly to Melbourne in the next few weeks.
The four-year-old will have a trial or jump-out at Flemington before Baker decides in what race he will resume.
The horse has been set exclusively for the $3 million Cox Plate, but Baker has not ruled out a start in the $6.2 million Emirates Melbourne Cup.
