Tony Vasil has confirmed Blake Shinn will ride his gun three-year-old Prince Harada in next Saturday’s Group 3 $135,000 Manfred Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield.
Vasil was advised on Wednesday by regular rider Damien Oliver that he would be riding the Gai Waterhouse-trained Bull Point in the same race.
Oliver has had great success for the Waterhouse stable in Melbourne since he came back to riding, including his memorable win in the Melbourne Cup on Fiorente.
Vasil said Shinn would ride Prince Harada in his first-up run in the Manfred, but he could not say whether he would stay on the horse throughout this autumn campaign.
