Leonie’s journey from Mumbai to Dubai to Sydney reflects her remarkable adaptability and resilience.
Currently serving as the General Manager of Marketing at Racing NSW, her innovative mindset and customer-centric approach are key drivers of success in her role.
Beyond her marketing expertise, Leonie is a certified Mental Health Support Worker, currently pursuing a Diploma of Counselling to further enhance her skills in mental health support.
Driven by her mantra, “people over things”, she prioritises establishing rapport and building strong relationships with her clients while assisting them in identifying and managing their emotions.
With extensive experience in community work, Leonie supports individuals facing diverse challenges such as anxiety related conditions, relationship issues, trauma, abuse, alcohol and drug abuse, loss, grief and homelessness.
She specialises in alcohol and drug contexts, providing tailored support, prioritising the safety of individuals at risk of suicide. She promotes self-directed recovery, collaborates with care networks and empowers clients to advocate for themselves while promoting overall well-being.
Leonie emphasises the importance of seeking help as the crucial first step towards healing.
She firmly believes it is necessary to reach out for support during tough seasons, saying, “We are not meant to do life alone. It is important to be part of a community and have someone walk beside you through challenging times.”
