Hall of Fame jockey Damien Oliver will have three rides for Mick Price when his career resumes at the Geelong synthetic meeting on Friday.
Oliver has been riding trackwork at Caulfield since his eight-month disqualification ended in mid July.
“He’s been doing a fair bit of work here and we promised to support him,” Price said.
Price has booked Oliver for Showmya Miss, Lion of Belfort and Campeao at Geelong and says he may ride one of his horses at Moonee Valley on Saturday.
Oliver has been engaged to ride Happy Trails, whom he partnered to win the Emirates Stakes on the final day of the VRC spring carnival, in the Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes.
The 41-year-old hasn’t ridden since Emirates Stakes day.
He pleaded guilty to placing a $10,000 bet on Miss Octopussy at Moonee Valley on October 1, 2010.
Racing Victoria stewards issued a eight-month disqualification and two month suspension, which expires at midnight on September 12.
Price plans to run Sir Fernando and Le Bonsir in the Chandler Macleod Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley and Fibrillation in the Stocks Stakes.
Emerging imports Pakal and Bit of Hell will head to the Naturalism Stakes (Caulfield, September 21) while Dany The Fox, narrowly beaten in The Sofitel on Saturday, will be set for the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on Sunday September 29.
