Samaready Sizzles At The Valley

Craig Newitt described as “enormous” the gallop today of Blue Diamond winner Samaready at Moonee Valley as the mare heads to Friday night’s Group 1 Moir Stakes.

Newitt and trainer Mick Price were effusive in their praise of Samaready after she galloped over 1000m with stablemate Tango’s Daughter.

Both Price and Newitt said Samaready had made considerable improvement from her first up win in the Heath Stakes at Caulfield on August 31.

“She went enormous, she is going really good,” Newitt said.

“Her work this morning was just super. She has made really good improvement from her first-up run, it’s just match fitness given she had such a long time off.

“She looks so much better through the coat and she feels better underneath me with the benefit of that run.”
Samaready ran home her final 400 metres in 24.61 seconds as she comfortably defeated Tango’s Daughter.
