Young Professionals in Racing (YPR) is giving away a free share in a racehorse to celebrate the inaugural YPR raceday at Royal Randwick on Saturday 27 July.
The opportunity is possible through a partnership with Trainer Connections and will see one lucky YPR member walking away with a five per cent share in a Dubleo/Celebrity Status colt, to be trained at Warwick Farm by YPR’s very own Michael Costa of New Breed Racing.
The prize includes six months training fees along with the opportunity to be part of naming the colt, selecting his racing silks and enjoying unique raceday benefits with YPR and the New Breed Racing team.
To be in the running for this fantastic package, you must be a financial member of YPR before 3pm AEDT on Saturday, 27 July 2013.
Membership with YPR is just $50 per year and provides members access to exclusive events and opportunities, while generating new social and professional connections within a network of young, likeminded racing enthusiasts.
Upon joining, all YPR members will receive a ‘pack’ which includes a complimentary Australian Turf Club (ATC) guest pass, providing racecourse entry and Members Reserve access to Royal Randwick on 27 July.
YPR chairperson, Kathryn Thomson, said the raceday is an incredibly exciting occasion for the group: “Not only do our members have access to the new Royal Randwick members reserve, they also have a chance at winning a racehorse, naming their own race, or getting behind the scenes VIP treatment.
“We have some amazing partners working with us this year and look forward to delivering a diverse range of events over the next six months, such as trackwork sessions, Hunter Valley stud tours, racedays, punting education, fashion parades and more.”
Racecourse gates open at 11am and members are invited to join the welcome drinks in the exclusive Owners Pavilion before the first race with Fox Sports presenter and ATC ambassador, Ben Damon hosting special guests Tommy Berry and Bjorn Baker, while highlighting what’s in store with YPR in the coming months.
Following the eight-race card at Royal Randwick, YPR will be hosting a function at the Imperial Hotel in Paddington to continue the festivities, which all are welcome to attend.
