Winners For 2017 Summer Sprint Day

The Summer Sprint meeting will be held at Warwick Farm this Saturday. The course proper was rated a Good 4 on Thursday and with showers forecast for Sydney leading up to the weekend, Warwick Farm is likely to be racing on a Soft trackĀ on raceday.

The Team Snowden-trained France is a top chance to take out the TAB Rewards Hcp (Sydney Race 2, 1400m). The Redoute’s Choice colt won well 1st up before finishing 2nd over this trip under a big weight on Christmas eve. Blake Shinn will park the 3YO just behind the leaders and France is primed to peak 3rd up on Saturday.

Four year old Magicaz has come back in good form this preparation and she is the testing material in the Australian Turf Club Handicap (Sydney Race 3, 1400m). The Magic Albert mare won well 1st up before just getting beaten on the line by Waitandwatch over 1200m. Magicaz loves Warwick Farm winning both starts at the venue and he is unbeaten at 1400m winning all her 3 starts at the trip. From barrier 7, Jay Ford will try to get cover somewhere mid-field and he will be full of running in the straight.

After finishing three 2nds in a row this preparation, Chosen Prayer is ready for her breakthrough victory in the Highway Handicap (Sydney Race 4, 1100m). The Canberra-trained mare ran second 1st up at Goulburn over 1300m before again finishing 2nd coming back in distance to 1100m when 2nd up. Chosen Prayer was nosed out by Modha last start at this track & trip 10 days ago. Blake Shinn will reserve energy on Chosen Prayer by settling mid-field in a race with a fair pace. Chosen Prayer will be hard to hold out on Saturday.
