Defending Melbourne Cup winner Dunaden had a strong gallop at Werribee trackwork yesterday morning.
The French galloper worked over 1600m, coming home in 35.82 secs for the last 600m and 23.9 secs for the last 400m.
Dunaden is a confirmed starter for the Group 1 Caulfield Cup this Saturday. Craig Williams who missed the winning ride on Dunaden in last year’s Melbourne Cup through suspension has been booked to ride the horse in the Caulfield Cup.
