Dear Demi has won the Group 1 Crown Oaks, 2500m, this afternoon in convincing fashion. Race favourite Zydeco finished 2nd.
Last Saturday, Zydeco made it a one act affair winning the Group 2 Wakeful Stakes, 2000m, while Dear Demi was unlucky being blocked for a run in the straight and could only finish 4th.
Dear Demi settled third last in a pretty fast run Oaks while Zydeco was running 8th along the fence. At the 300m it was a two horse race with Dear Demi eventually prevailing by 1-1/4 length.
