Service Fee Set At $20,000 for Americain

The service fee for the 2010 Melbourne Cup winner Americain (Dynaformer x America, by Arazi) has been set at $20,000.

After finishing unplace in this year’s Melbourne Cup, the son of Dynaformer has been retired to Calumet Farm in Kentucky by prominent owner Gerry Ryan, who also owns the Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner and favourite for the 2013 Melbourne Cup, Puissance De Lune.

Apart from a Melbourne Cup victory on Australian soil, Americain has also won the 2010 Group 2 Sandown Cup and the 2011 Group 2 Mooney Valley Cup.

Americain has been joined at Calumet Farm by another son of Dynaformer in Lentenor (Dynaformer x La Ville Rouge, Carson City), who is a full brother to the 2006 Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro. Lentenor will stand for $7,500.
