Laser Hawk Won Randwick Trial

Gai Waterhouse-trained Laser Hawk has won a 1200m barrier trial this morning at Randwick.

Speaking to Andrew Bensley on Racing HQ this morning, jockey Tommy Berry said Laser Hawk has so many gears going into Autumn. The 4YO won the trial by 1-3/4 lengths and Berry said he only pushed the horse out late in the trial.

Laser Hawk won the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas (2000m) last Autumn beating subsequent Cox Plate winner Ocean Park before finishing 3rd in the Australian Derby (2400m). Laser Hawk looks set for a big Autumn Carnival.
