Con Karakatsanis and father Tony have been found guilty on all five charges against them for allegedly attempting to stomach tube a horse on raceday.
Howmuchdoyouloveme was nominated for the Salinger Stakes at Flemington on November 3. However it was alleged that Karakatsanis intended to drench the horse on raceday when tubing gear was found near Howmuchdoyouloveme in the stable.
Eventually Howmuchdoyouloveme was allowed to take his place in the field but the horse finished a disappointing eighth behind Fontelina.
Victoria’s Racing Appeals & Disciplinary Board chairman Judge Russell Lewis said he would hear submissions on the penalties at a date to be fixed next week.
