Snitzerland Ready For Big Autumn

Gerald Ryan-trained 3YO Snitzerland looks set for a big autumn after some dashing track gallops at Rosehill.

The runner-up to Pierro in the 2012 Golden Slipper carried on her form last spring by beating super colt All Too Hard first up, before racking up four straight wins.

Snitzerland shown that she was spot-on for the autumn with a hit-out last Tuesday week against Mrs Onassis at Rosehill, with Corey Brown on board.

Subsequently Mrs Onassis went to Melbourne for the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) and she duly won the Caulfield sprint to further underline Snitzerland’s class, as Snitzerland beat Mrs Onassis in the gallop.

Ryan has indicated that Snitzerland will run in a 900m barrier trial on Tuesday and then run first-up in the Challenge Stakes (1100m) at Warwick Farm on March 16.

Ryan is undecided if the filly will go on to the group 1 The Galaxy (1100m) on March 30 and TJ Smith (1200m) on April 13.
