Warwick Farm Horses Targeting Scone Cup Carnival

David Vandyke-trained Keith’s Legacy is planning for a country cup campaign in the coming month.

The former New Zealander has won 3 races out of 8 starts since he joins Vandyke’s Warwick Farm stable, including a victory over 1600m on the Doncaster Mile Day last Saturday.

Keith’s Legacy will be aimed at the $200,000 Scone Cup (1600m) on Friday May 17.

Meanwhile, fellow Warwick Farm trained Raceway will be aimed at the Inglis Scone Guineas (1400m) on Saturday May 18.

Formerly trained by Gai Waterhouse, the smart 3YO has been transfered to Warwick Farm based Bjorn Baker.

Raceway had his first trial for new trainer Bjorn Baker at Hawkesbury on Monday and Baker has decided to push ahead with the Guineas.

“I saw enough in the trial to continue with the Scone Guineas plan,” Baker said.

Raceway will likely be headed towards the Wagga Guineas en route to his Scone mission.
