Hawkesbury is a wonderful track. A nice long straight and wonderful bush surroundings. Their standalone meeting is a must attend for all racing fans.
Divine Calling (race 2 number 1). One of very few grey horses in the Waterhouse yard. This is a weakish race and Divine Calling really took some getting past at his last start and the two that beat him are both really promising types. This gelding is very tough and will find the lead and really fight hard to stay in front for the entire race. He is fit, hard and tough; the perfect ingredients for a two-year-old handicap at Hawkesbury.
Peck (race 4 number 3). This horse is one of those that you back three times in a row for nothing, then you sack it and it wins at $8 or $9. He always runs on and he always gets close or wins. He will enjoy the Hawkesbury track and he will have plenty of time to get going and fly home.
Speediness (race 6 number 3). Finally a win for this promising son of Testa Rossa. He has been competitive at the top level before and he has so much talent but does need a lot to go right. From a wide barrier expect him to drop out the back and run over them late in the race.
Boban (race 7 number 5). This fella has a wonderful turn of foot. He was so impressive on ANZAC day in winning and on that win he can be right in the finish here. All 9 of his rivals have a good chance in the race, but it just seems that Boban might be able to sprint the fastest at the end of the race. If he is within striking distance, expect him to be in the finish.
Eucumbene (race 8 number 5). This horse looked like a world beater last winter. He was winning races by huge margins and was being talked about as a spring prospect. He is back now and is slowly warming up. He has so much talent and one day soon (hopefully this Saturday) he will storm back into people’s minds by winning impressively at big odds.
