Please note the following interstate stewards extract for the Canterbury Park race meeting on Wednesday, 22nd May 2013.
RACE 2:-
Horse No. 14 – LEEBAZ (NZ) (Seymour 27/4/2013): Was obliged to race wide throughout and rounding the home turn hung out. In the straight continued to hang out. When questioned regarding the performance, which was below expectations, rider explained that the gelding hung out throughout the race and proved difficult to ride out in the straight. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed during the running of the race the gelding had sustained lacerations to the off side of its mouth.
