NSW Trainers Association Limited
The NSW Trainers Association Limited (NSWTA) is a not-for-profit public company, limited by guarantee, established in April 2008.
The NSWTA is the peak body representing licensed horse trainers in NSW. The NSWTA represents NSW licensed trainers on Racing NSW’s Racing Industry Consultation Group (RICG).
The Board includes representatives from Metropolitan, Provincial and Country areas (see below).
The purposes of the NSWTA are:
- to promote the interests and activities of NSW trainers;
- to represent the interests of NSW trainers with Racing NSW, race clubs and other parties;
- to promote relationships and enter into agreements that will be beneficial to NSW trainers; and
- to collect and disseminate information that will assist NSW trainers with their training operations.
The NSWTA is committed to assist trainers in each of the Metropolitan, Provincial and Country racing sectors, and to contribute to the overall success of the NSW racing industry.
Major areas of interest for the NSWTA include tracks and facilities, programming and handicapping, trainers’ insurance, prize money, training costs, owner/trainer relationships, staff employment conditions, industry training, regulatory matters and veterinary developments.
