Sprinters Stakes hopeful Lucky Nine had an impressive trial at Sha Tin before he heads to Japan for the Group 1 race. Ridden by Brett Prebble, the Caspar Fownes trained 5 year old ran 22.8 seconds for the final 400m in his 1200m trial prompting Fownes to comment that the horse is spot-on for the Group 1 Sprinters Stakes. Fellow Hong Kong runner, Little Bridge, who won the Group 1 King’s Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot in June will join Lucky Nine on the same flight to Japan with both horses aiming at the Sprinters Stakes.
