The New Zealand Bloodstock’s Ready to Run Sale of Two-Year-Olds was held at the Karaka complex last Wednesday and Thursday (20th and 21st November).
To no one’s surprise, a Fastnet Rock colt was the sale’s top price lot. By Fastnet Rock out of Oraia (Stravinsky), the colt was knocked down at NZ$480,000 to Sydney bloodstock agent James Harron, who was bidding on behalf of Edward and Belinda Bateman, who owns the Group 1 winning Foxwedge.
All up, five Fastnet Rock progency were sold at the sale for a total of NZ$1.34 million at an average of NZ$260,000.
