Breeding giant Coolmore Stud purchased the first $1million yearling at the Gold Coast Magic Million Sale.
Dr. Edmund Bateman went head to head with Coolmore in the bidding war for Lot 251, but in the end Coolmore went to $1.35 million to secure the colt.
The youngster is by Fastnet Rock out of a son of the Mister C mare Smart Company offered by Lomar Park Stud. Incidentally Fastnet Rock is owned by Coolmore Stud.
“We know how well the stallion is doing and this colt is a lovely individual,” Coolmore spokeman Tom Magnier said.
Coolmore has announced the stunning colt will join the Gai Waterhouse stable.
“He’s poetry in motion. Just a magic colt,” Gai said.
