The Dermot Weld trained Galileo’s Choice has galloped strongly in a 1600m workout at Werribee this morning. Word is that Galileo’s Choice has settled in Australia very well and the horse is fit and bright, so much so that everyone at Werribee is tipping him to win the Melbourne Cup.
Weld is no stranger when it comes to winning Melbourne Cup as he is a dual cup winning trainer himself having won in 1993 with Vintage Crop and in 2002 with Media Puzzle.
