Galileo’s Choice is on the mend

Dermot Weld’s Melbourne Cup hopeful Galileo’s Choice had suffered travel illness with a spiked temperture after a difficult flight from Ireland. The horse had been treated with antibiotics and is on the mend quickly. Weld said, “His temperature is back to normal and he’s back eating, but it did take a bit  out of him”. Leigh Jordon from Racing Victoria confirmed yesterday that, “He was at the track yesterday morning and again this morning and he’s certainly  OK,” .

Weld was the first European based trainer to win a Melbourne Cup. He was successful with Vintage Crop in 1993 and Media Puzzle in 2002. Currently, Galileo’s Choice is a $26.00 chance to win the Melbourne Cup.
