Geelong Cup winner Gatewood has been penalised 1kg by RV’s chief handicapper Greg Carpenter for the Melbourne Cup.
Gatewood was originally weighted on 51.5kg and the 1kg penalty has taken his weight to 52.5kg. He is currently sitting on 36th in the order of entry.
