There was also heavy support for last year’s runner up Red Cadeaux. Bets included $18,000, $10,000 and $10,000 each way were laid at odds of $12.00. Red Cadeaux is the biggest shortener and is now into $9.00.
Peter Moody trained Lights of Heaven has some support at $21.00. Consistent support for Mount Athos has also been reported. Mount Athos is now into $7.50 and could be challenging for second favouritism by race time.
The news on race favourite Americain who would be racing on glue-on shoes seems to have driven punters away. Americain has eased out to $6.50.
