Winners For 2024 Bookmakers Recognition Day At Rosehill

This Saturday’s Bookmakers Recognition Day will be held at Rosehill Gardens (27th Apr). The course proper was rated a Soft 5 on Thursday and with mainly fine weather in Sydney leading up to the weekend, Rosehill will be racing on a Good track on raceday.

Seascape from the in-form Michael Freedman stable is ready to set punters in a winning way in the opening event at Rosehill (Sydney Race 1, 1100m). The well-bred I Am Invincible filly won on debut over this trip on the 10th Apr at Gosford, annihilating the field by almost five lengths leading from start to finish. Tom Sherry will go straight to the front from gate 6 and Seascape will show them a clean pair of heels.

The John O’Shea-trained Rhythm Of Love is peaking being 4th up on Saturday and he’s the one to beat in the Phillip Picone Handicap (Sydney Race 3, 1500m). The 3YO gelding resumed with victory over 1250 at Canterbury first-up this campaign and he did a good job last start finishing 3rd, beaten a neck in the Listed South Pacific Handicap (1400m) at Randwick. He is ready to step up to 1500m and has drawn barrier 1. A pre-race ear muffs will be used to help keeping the gelding calm and relax before the race. Nash Rawiller will park just behind the leaders on the fence with a cosy run and Rhythm Of Love will be ready to pounce rounding the home turn.

Jay Ford can take Demiana first past the post in the Dennis Jamieson Handicap (Sydney Race 5, 1300m). This Waller-trained 4YO has good first up record with a win and two 2nds from three attempts and the mare has only missed a place once from four starts at 1300m. And she has only been allotted with 54.5kg. Having drawn beautifully in barrier 1, Jay Ford will be doing minimum work in settling just behind the leading bunch and Demiana will finish the race off strongly.
