Winners For 2024 Inglis Millennium Day

The Inglis Millennium meeting will be held at Royal Randwick this Saturday (10th Feb). The course proper was rated a Soft 5 on Thursday and with overcast weather in Sydney leading up to the weekend, Randwick will border on Good/Soft condition on raceday.

The two year olds have been firing for the Waterhouse-Bott stable and Anode could continue the run of the stable in the Lonhro Plate (Sydney Race 2, 1000m). The I Am Invincible colt gave them all something to chase on debut, winning by close to 3 ½ lengths here at Randwick. Anode had sprinted his last 600m in a fast 33.87secs. Adam Hyeronimus has been on board his two trials and he will once again be riding the colt on Saturday. Hyeronimus will go straight to the front from the outside gate and Anode will run them ragged.

Dakota Vroom could make it hat-trick of wins by taking out the Westmead Institute For Medical Research Handicap (Sydney Race 5, 1300m). This lightly raced 4YO mare is unbeaten this preparation with two wins from two starts. Third run this campaign and she is ready to step up to 1300m. She is facing stronger class on Saturday but as an in-form mare on the up, she can measure up to this company. Tommy Berry will once again be on board and Berry will park somewhere mid-field and Dakota Vroom will keep her winning run intact.

Inglis Nursery winner Odinson could complete the Inglis double by winning the Inglis Millennium on Saturdsay (Sydney Race 7, 1100m). The 2YO colt has shown a terrific turn-of-foot coming from third-last when he took out the Inglis Nursery. Odinson has been given a freshen up since and the Maher stable has given him two easy trials leading up to his resumption on Saturday. With likely leaders Fully Lit, Cerons, Art’s Alive and Zestiman all having drawn wide, the race will be run at a fast pace whilst young Irish jockey Dylan Browne McMonagle will likely take a sit behind mid-field and bide his time. Odinson will fly over the top of this field in the run home.
